On Thursday, April 19, 2018, Track and Field championship of Iraqi Universities took place in Suleimaniya University with the participation of (11) universities. The University of Zakho was one of the participants and could break many records.
It is worth mentioning that Salim Loqman and Younis Mohsen from Team of the University of Zakho earned first place and broke the record in Kurdistan Region. Furthermore, this championship will last for two days and the team of the University of Zakho is expected to achieve high results under the supervision of coach Mehvan S. Khalid.
